Here is the criteria on how games are scored:

10 = GAMERS SHOULD BUY THIS GAME! Games that receive this score are rare, unique, and tremendously special.

9 to 9.9 = A great game with minor flaws that gamers should buy.

8 to 8.9 = A good game that gamers should play if they are avid fans of the genre.

7 to 7.9 = An average game that gamers might want to rent but not buy.

6 to 6.9 = Games that score in this range are only for the really hardcore enthusiasts of the game franchise. These games have its faults.

5 to 5.9 = Games that score in this range have approximately the same number of pros and cons. There are typically more negatives than positives.

4 to 4.9 = Games that score in this range are abominations and will dissatisfy even the most devoted activists of the game series.

3 to 3.9 = Games that score in this range should be used as decoration ornaments. Stapling your mouth shut is more entertaining than playing this game.

2 to 2.9 = Games that score in this range should be avoided at all costs. A game with this score is about as rare as games that receive a perfect 10; however, these games have no chance in hell of being unique or tremendously special.

1 to 1.9 = Buying this game will result in an instantaneous and agonizing death.
