I got my hands on the Saint’s Row demo for the 360 and I must say that this looks like it's going to be one of the best rip offs of GTA yet. The game lets you personalize your whole character almost as much as Oblivion from the width of your chin to the tattoos on your body.

If you've never played GTA (shame on you) Saint’s Row is an open ended game that lets you start missions whenever you want and roam around the big city doing whatever you want. You get stars for doing bad things and respect for helping your gang.

You start the game by trying to prove yourself to the Saints, a local gang, by fighting the other gang members in hand to hand combat and getting your ass beat. (Editor’s note: If you win the fight you get a different cut scene than you do if you lose the fight.) Once you get into the gang you can recruit people to help you and follow you around and as the game progresses you can recruit more and more. Saints Row has similar buildings as GTA offering a "confessional" where you pay to lose the stars you gain by doing bad things as well as food places to restore your health.

There will also be online play where you fight other gangs and the best part is that everyone will look unique. The controls are similar to GTA but there is no lock on system you control your aim with the right analog stick which works well; kind of like Mercenaries. There is a specific button for kick and one for punches. The controls are smooth.

The graphics are amazing. When a car explodes anyone near it will catch on fire, although they do have their semi-cartooney look.

If you can't wait for the next GTA you should pick this one up as it looks to be one of the best games for the 360 this year.
