Everyone loves Halo 2, don't they? But do people think about the orginal Halo? Halo: Combat Evolved is and always will be one of my favorite games ever. There are so many reasons this was the game that made the Xbox what it is today. The Single Player was amazing, with so many tricks and easter eggs to find, you could literally play that game dozens and dozens of times. And the multiplayer, even though there was no live play, was still one of the top games for multiplayer, even after live game out.

Single Player
Picture this: You are on the Pillar of Autmn, a huge intergalactic ship, the size of a small city, with only a pistol and an Assult Rifle, you you are under attack, with a limited amount of time to ecape. You enemy is boarding your ship with the objective of capturing an AI piece of which you have; your objective to see that it is safe. You must escape, but you aren't sure how.

This is a brief overview of the first mission of Halo: Combat Evolved.
How does this sound to you?

Halo covers a huge variety of level designs, including snow, beach, Human ships, Enemy Ships, and several more. This game has several Human weapons, ranging from a simple Pistol to a Rocket Launcher. The sniper is aways handy too. There are many human weapons, just screaming "BOOM".
But you aren't limited to your specices weapons. Situation: You have one shot left with your pistol. You take a head shot on a Grunt, one of the many enemies you will face. You get him, but he drops an Alien Pistol. Since you are out of ammo, just unclench his hands and move on.
This unique ability to pick up enemy weapons increases your already large arsenal. You can use this huge arsenal on four level difficulties, Easy, Normal, Heroic, and Legendary, with Legendary being the hardest.

This has got to be one of the best Single Player Campaigns ever, for any system anytime.
