Hunters will be delited to know (if thy don't already) that when the new World of Warcraft patch goes live (patch 3.0.0 when WoTLK is released), they will be able to tame many new types of pets, including "exotic" pets that will only be available to Beast Mastery hunters that have 51 talent points in BM. Here is a quick overview of seven exotic pet families.

Spirit Beasts

These are my new favorite pet in WoW, and I will likely give up my current cat for this one. Spirit beasts will fall into the new Ferocity pet category which will give them a 10% increase in damage per second (DPS), which would make this a great raid pet.

Core Hounds

Core Hounds are another exotic pet which falls into the Ferocity pet family. This exotic pet currently has three models, the above model being a level 12.

Devilsaurs

Devilsaurs, yet again, will fall into the Ferocity family. This will make them a great DPS pet, and they are extremely cool. I expect a lot of raptor users to pick this one up.
